Is Coed Commote Cardiganshire

Is Coed is a commote in the cantref of Is Aeron, Cardiganshire, (Welsh: Sir Aberteifi or Ceredigion). Iscoed was divided into two communities, by Nant Hirwern (Hirwern stream); into Is-Hirwern and Uwch-Hirwern.

Is Aeron cantref was divided into four commotes:

• Is Coed (Iscoed)
• Caerwedros
• Gwynionydd (Gwinionydd)
• Mebwynion (Mabwnion)
