Gaer Fawr Trawscoed
Gaer Fawr, is constructed round an isolated hill S.W. of Trawscoed; The slopes are steep on all sides. On the N. and S. the valleys are 300ft. below the summit. In the strength of its position and defences it rivals Pendinas, Aberystwyth, It commands a wide view of the surrounding country. Nearby separated from the main hill by a narrow saddle, is a small knoll on which is a large slab of quartz.
